1. Q: What’s the difference between the “Make a TV Spot Your Own” series and the “Build Your Own TV Spot” series?
A: It’s the level of customization available and the price. The “Make a TV Spot Your Own” series of TV spots are :30 TV spots we have produced for other companies. We retained the template we developed for those spots, so we can just redo the narration and add your text and logo. We can charge less because it takes less work to customize these for you.
In the “Build Your Own TV Spot”, we have some great “openers” and can get attention and then be tied to a additional middle part you can choose. So by taking these components and putting them together in your own way, you get unique TV spots that look as if they cost many thousands of dollars. What a deal, huh?
2. Q: What if I don’t have my own pictures?
A: Then use ours. That’s the beautiful thing about our TV spots – you can
choose how much you want to customize them – and you can do it all from your
computer. You can just change the text and still have a great spot.
3. Q: How do I get these TV spots on TV – and how do I get them to the TV station?
A: You buy time on a TV station and then we can either give the spot(s) to you or send them directly to the station. First let’s talk about buying time. You can buy cable or broadcast, local or national. There are significant pricing differences between companies. You can buy your own or buy it through our media buyer, Dick Galek. He’s an expert. If you want to use his services, fill out this form.
Now, as to “How do you get the TV spot we made to the station?” - The easiest and best way is to have us send it over the Internet to them. We use a service called Fastchannel to do that. Since the spot stays in the digital realm, it comes out looking better on TV. If you would rather send it to them yourself, we can send it directly to you over the Internet. We use the industry standard MPEG2 format. It takes about 24 hours for Fastchannel to get it to them, and we don’t charge extra for that.
4. Q: Do I have to buy time through you to get the low prices you quote on your TV spots?
A: Nope. You don’t have to buy the time through us to get the low prices we offer. We also don’t restrict how long you can use the spots. There are no games, no hidden charges. We try to just keep it simple and honest.
5. Q: Why do I have to pay for the spot before I can see a finished version?
A: Because it is custom made from your instructions by a real human being – not a computer. It would be like asking if you could taste the hamburger you ordered at a restaurant before you accepted it. Although we use templates and computers, we look at your information and make sure it fits before we produce your spots – if it doesn’t we’ll contact you and work with you to get it right. And just as the person in the restaurant can see how the burger looks in a picture before ordering it, you’ll be able to see how the spot will look by watching our extensive demos.
6. Q: What format do you supply the “web version” TV spots in?
A: FLASH – flv. 360x240 pixels. Swf available upon request.
7. Q: I want it in Spanish, too. Can you do that?
A: Yes, but it’s a special order and it costs more. That’s because Spanish is not
our native language and the templates are built to time out when read in English.
In short, to get everything to come together properly, we have to do more work,
so it costs more. If you want something in Spanish, email us and we’ll get back to you:
8. Q: What if I decide that I want to change the narration, the pictures or some of the text after I order the TV spots? Do I have to pay for those changes?
A: Yes, you do. If we didn’t get the instructions right and made mistakes, we’ll
redo it for free. But if you have changed your mind after you submitted the
information, then you have to pay for the changes because we have already started
the work. How much it will cost will depend on what you change and how
complex the spot is to make. Send us this change form and we’ll get back to you
with a quote.
9. Q: So how do I order one of your TV spots?
A: Pick a spot and fill out the forms. It’s really that easy. You’ll first be asked to pick a narrator. Then you’ll be asked to change the narration and the text that appears in the spot. After that, if you have pictures to upload, you’ll have the opportunity to upload them. Then you’ll be taken to a checkout page to pay for the spot. At that point you can pay for a web only version or a full broadcast version, which includes a web version as well.
10. Q: How long will I have to wait to see my new TV spot?
A: 48 hours or less in most cases. If something out of the ordinary happens,
we’ll contact you.
